Event information

There is great interest in the use of RNA sequencing to obtain diagnoses for patients that cannot be obtained from genomic DNA targeted panels, whole genome sequencing or whole exome sequencing. This applies to both rare disease and cancer diagnostics.

Many diagnostic laboratories around Australia are already exploring RNA sequencing, sometimes in relative isolation.

Australian Genomics’ National Diagnostic and Research Network Program (Program 1) will host an RNA sequencing analysis workshop on September 6, with the aim to feature presentations from different groups on what they are doing with RNA sequencing (techniques and bioinformatic pipelines being used, results, issues). There will be plenty of opportunity for discussion, and the greater the spread of protocols presented, the better.

Please see the final program here.
