Summer Internship in Indigenous Genomics

Home Our project areas Indigenous genomic priorities Summer Internship in Indigenous Genomics

Summary

Australian Genomics is supporting a program of engagement and research to address the challenges of Indigenous training and leadership in genomics by coordinating the Summer Internship in Indigenous Genomics (SING) Program.

Each week-long SING program brings together Indigenous students and emerging Indigenous scholars with an interest in genomics to learn about the field from an inter-disciplinary team of Indigenous and non-Indigenous scholars.

SING Australia will provide an opportunity for genomic translation by developing a workforce across multiple disciplines that will provide future Indigenous leaders of Indigenous genomics programs in Australia.
