This meeting will bring together the diverse genetic and developmental biology model organism communities with medical researchers involved in disease gene discovery and characterisation, with the aim of fostering collaboration and enabling the rapid translation of research findings into medical applications.

Invited speakers will showcase the benefits of model organism research, existing collaborations between these researchers and clinicians, and networks that foster these collaborations. Speakers include Prof Kathryn North and Prof John Christodoulou of the Australian Genomics Health Alliance.
