Join us at the OurDNA Symposium, hosted by the Centre for Population Genomics (CPG) with support from Australian Genomics. This event, a satellite of the GA4GH 12th Plenary, will take place on 17 September in Melbourne.

The symposium aims to tackle the essential issue of underrepresentation in genomic medicine within diverse Australian communities. It will feature keynotes from renowned experts such as Professor Heidi Rehm (Broad Institute), Mary Ann Baquero Geronimo (Federation of Ethnic Communities’ Councils of Australia), and Professor Alex Brown (Telethon Kids and Australian National University).

Facilitated by CPG Director Professor Daniel MacArthur and CPG OurDNA Lead Chris Richards, the morning sessions will provide deep insights into achieving equity in genomic medicine. Following the keynotes, attendees can engage in an extended networking lunch to connect with peers and leaders across various sectors.

Additionally, CPG will host an optional workshop on culturally aligned, language-appropriate participant information in genomics research. Further details and a separate registration process for the workshop can be found at this link.

Don’t miss this opportunity to be part of an important conversation and to network with leaders in genomics, multicultural health, government, and industry.

We look forward to welcoming you!
